Siobhan is the proud Owner and Director of Mortgage Light, having started the company in 2011 with the vision of providing clear and simple advice married with unrivalled customer service to ensure each and every client gets the best possible product with minimal stress and delay.
She originally started working for our partner estate agency as a negotiator in 2007 before selling properties on new build developments for them. This gave her a great foundation and understanding of the importance and effects mortgage services have on people’s lives and sparked her passion for the industry, driving her to take it upon herself to earn her qualifications and make her ambition a reality.
Anyone who knows Siobhan will tell you she is as dedicated and committedas you will find and she will go out of her way to achieve her goals. So it’s no surprise that she took it upon herself to launch Mortgage Light and demonstrate how she felt mortgage services should be offered, a better way.
Whilst running the company she is also mentor to us all and is an encyclopaedia of knowledge for all things mortgage related. With so many clients having utilised her experience and skills she is a real specialist for challenging cases, new home & shared ownership mortgages. She is also a massive supporter of re-mortgages and protection to make sure her clients aren’t only getting the best deal at all times, but are fully protecting their family and property too.
A born director, she listens intently and takes a client’s needs fully on board before taking clear and concise steps to the end goal. You can be sure she will know exactly what to do and ensure that her clients understand all of the what’s, why’s and how’s of getting their mortgage.
If the feedback from our clients, the number of personal referrals we receive and the vast growth of her vision and company is anything to go by then she has certainly achieved her ambition of a better way to offer mortgages.
With her Irish heritage she has a close knit family unit supporting her, it also explains her honest and direct nature! In the rare times she is away from her office she is still glued to her computer and phone planning her wedding or enjoying the company of Hubert, her loyal and playful working Cocker Spaniel.
Sam started in the financial industry just over a decade ago and has spent much of her career with well-known high street banks such as Cheltenham & Gloucester and Nationwide. Thanks to all of the time she spent there Sam can offer great advice and experience on mainstream lenders and their products.
Her experience covers both dealing with the client but previously underwriting the cases for the lenders, this helps understand how lenders work ‘behind the scenes’, which is a daily benefit to the whole team.
Sam is now our re-mortgage specialist and is the right person to speak to if you are looking to make sure you have the best deal available for when your current offer expires, are looking to maximise profit from a buy to let, or even to consolidate other debts to reduce your monthly outgoings.
Away from the office Sam is tied to a life of rugby, both through her own enjoyment but mainly thanks to her husband and three young boys who keep her out supporting them come rain or shine!

Debs, as she is better known, has been a part of the financial services industry since 1989. She loves her role more every day, never tiring of seeing customers delighted with their move or re-mortgage at the end of a stress free journey.
Given her many years of experience Debs has an astounding depth of knowledge to draw from and her problem solving skills are second to none. Having honed her craft in several large retail banks she made the move into the independent consultant arena and relishes the freedom as well as the whole of market choice she can now offer to ensure her customers get the best possible advice.
Mortgage Light and Debs were brought together through a mutual contact, and over a coffeehistory was made. Both sides of the table shared an exemplary standard of customer service and a true belief that the customer always comes first, which they are both extremely proud of. She is now our “Queen of Cambridge”, working with our local office there.
Debs joined just before a big growth period for us and was an instant success due to her experience in, and in-depth understanding of, Newbuild and Help to Buy schemes. As well as all this she is also a specialist at providing life and protection insurance products to keep her clients minds at ease and their property and family safe.
A true social butterfly, Debs likes to spend time with friendsand enjoys settling in to watchthe football, boxing, athletics and rugby with her husband.
